Since 2011, The Kitchen Community has provided a real food education to students in underserved schools across the country. We have grown from a handful of Learning Gardens and a staff of five in our hometown of Boulder, Colorado, to nearly 300 schools and a growing team in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and Denver.

Part-time Temporary Build Captain – Memphis

The Build Captain’s primary responsibility is to support TKC’s Program and help carry out the Edible Garden Initiative and work with schools Garden Teams to ensure they have the skills, materials, personnel and confidence to successfully grow vegetables and teach in their Learning Gardens. Indianapolis career opportunities  

Garden Educator – Indianapolis

The Garden Educator’s primary responsibility is to work with TKC’s Program Team to support school Garden Teams to ensure they have the skills, materials, personnel and confidence to successfully grow vegetables and teach in their Learning Gardens. Regional Director – Chicago

Responsible for raising and managing gifts and philanthropy that are essential to the mission, growth and pioneering work of The Kitchen Community (TKC) Chicago. Project Coordinator – Chicago

The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing construction activities, and scheduling maintenance tasks. This supporting role works with our Project Manager, and liaises with candidate and selected schools and their garden teams to ensure successful Learning Garden pre-build and Planting Day activities.
