Waffles Without Baking Powder

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Whole milk
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 Cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional- syrup, berries or toppings


  • With a large mixing bowl, add in your flour and sugar and mix to combine.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the butter, milk, eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Then, fold in the dry ingredients to the second bowl, and stir to combine.
  • Leave the batter to rest for two minutes and heat up your waffle iron.
  • Once the waffle iron is preheated, pour ⅓ of the waffle batter into the waffle iron.
  • Then, cook the waffles with the waffle iron for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve up the waffles with your desired toppings such as syrup, sauces or fruit.
